Whatโ€™s that I hear you shout? ๐Ÿ“ฃ

Well, the technical college will equip young people aged 13 to 18 from across the borough with the opportunity to learn STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects and gain advanced engineering, digital design skills and gain qualifications needed for the 21st century workforce.

Working closely with the The University of Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam University, industry partners and local employers, it will bring the curriculum to life through project based work. This will offer young people another route into higher education and future employment.

Today, the council has agreed that the UTC will be located on the site of the former Council House and contributed the land to the project.

The Doncaster UTC will open in September 2020 and below Mayor Ros Jones and Dan Fell, Chair of the Doncaster UTC project, tell you more about what this will mean for the borough and itโ€™s young people.
